Halloweezy collecting Halloween costumes for Cleveland families
Cleveland, OH – (Aug. 13, 2018) Halloweezy, Cleveland’s October celebration of the weird and scary sides of local art, is entering its eighth year in 2018 and will be collecting new and gently-used Halloween costumes to be distributed throughout the Cleveland Area to in need families.
“Halloween was an important part of growing up for me. I was able to express myself and feel comfortable being weird. Halloween is not always about zombies, ghosts and witches, but bringing a community together through expression,” states Adam Patterson, Executive Director and co-founder.
Costume collection will start Monday, August 13th. Donations can be dropped off at Artefino Cafe, 1900 Superior Ave. Cleveland, Ohio, Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or Saturdays 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Halloweezy will soon announce it's this year’s theme and details for the event, scheduled for Saturday, October 20. A Cleveland-based nonprofit, Halloweezy aims is to be the stage for Cleveland’s Halloween, through collaboration with local artists and community development.
